Unidos Por La Musica (UPLM) nonprofit began its work in 2011 with the goal of helping the diverse underserved families and students. There are thousands of low-income residents in our communities who are at the edge of giving up their dreams due to inaccessible resources. Unidos Por La Musica wants to change this factor; we want to make sure that our low-income families are able to reach the tools needed for their success. We at Unidos Por La Musica understand the struggles. I can personally relate to what it is to struggle on a day-to-day basis. I too was challenged as a student and as a resident, to not be another statistic. My goal as a president is to spread our mission to inform our hard working underserved low-income residents that we are here as a stepping-stone to their dreams.
For the past two years UPLM has impacted the lives of many families and students by providing the resources that are needed to overcome life obstacles. It is important to mention that this work would have not been possible without our 100 driven volunteers from students to parents, who donated their valuable hard work, dedication, and time. Over 2,000 hours were donated to impact the lives of 66,000 local community residents.
Our top priority is to keep providing vital resources that will contribute to the betterment of many underserved individuals who are desperately in need of assistance and may have lost hope. In order to achieve our priority we have developed a series of strategic initiatives by improving service quality and enhancing partner collaborations to strengthening communities through the power of music and service. We at Unidos Por La Musica are committed to bring the best resources by implementing best practices that will allow us to reach our mission, vision, objectives, and goals.
Let us all dance to the sound of ONE beat!
